The story of Bachman CDJR really begins almost 100 years ago, when Elwood Priestley opened an Oldsmobile dealership in West Virginia. Elwood’s son-in-law, a Kentuckian named Joe Holland, would himself enter the auto trade in 1952 and later open Joe Holland Chevrolet a decade later.
It was Joe’s daughter, Teresa, who brought the family business to Indiana. She married Steve Bachman in 1976, after earning her business degree from the University of Kentucky.
